This is actually the name I had earmarked for my last ever song: ‘Sunset’. The word has added meaning to me as my family’s summer house sits at the end of Sunset Street, tucked away in a quiet corner of Carnikava, Latvia. It seemed befitting to mark the end of my writing with the place where it all began. I had always assumed this one would be my swan song, composed as an old man who knows their time is short, and when my hands were telling me they’d had enough of playing guitar. Nevertheless, the universe had other plans, and who am I to argue. So here it is, my last ever song, which I sincerely hope isn’t my last ever song.
