Bigfoot Trouble Booster Mini

£129.99

Our passive guitar boost pedal.

Overview

The Bigfoot Trouble Booster Mini is a passive boost pedal which preserves your guitar's natural tone.

Sound

This pedal is designed to add 16dB of heat to your guitar's pickups. It works wonderfully at hitting the front of your amplifier harder, allowing you to keep your tone intact while increasing sustain and harmonic overtones. Thanks to it’s studio quality transformer, this pedal exhibits a wonderful compression which is comparable to tape saturation.

Features

This pedal doesn't require batteries or a power supply. It utilises transformer gain, much like a studio microphone preamp, resulting in a sonic warmth which doesn't compromise fidelity.

Applications

This is the perfect compact boost pedal for tone aficionados.

Controls

-Boost Volume control (top middle).

-Boost on/off foot switch (bottom middle).

Connections

-Mono 1/4" input and output jack sockets (side-mount).

Power

No power required.

Placement

It must be connected after any buffered effects unit in order to operate.

Construction

All analogue, hand built in England UK.

-Width 60mm (2.36").

-Height 27mm (1.06").

Bigfoot Trouble Booster

£179.99

Our flagship boost pedal (NOS Germanium).

Overview

The Bigfoot Trouble Booster is a germanium treble booster pedal with some unique modern features for unlocking many more great tones.

Sound

This pedal has 2 settings: the Bright mode is inspired by the vintage Greg Fryer and Dallas Rangemaster treble boosters, capturing the classic Vox AC30 Top Boost and Brian May (Queen) sounds. The Normal mode provides a wealth of fatter overdriven tones inspired by Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), packed full of rich harmonics.

Features

Although we still use hand picked NOS germanium transistors, we use negative ground wiring so you can integrate the pedal into modern pedalboards. It also features an invaluable Bright/Normal switch for toggling between the classic treble booster sound and a fuller, fatter tone.

Applications

This is the perfect tool for getting two distinct, very high quality dirty tones from one pedal.

Controls

-Boost Volume control (top left).

-Boost Bright/Normal toggle switch (top right).

-Boost on/off foot switch (bottom right).

-Boost on/off indicator LED (top middle).

Connections

-Mono 1/4" input and output jack sockets (side-mount).

-Industry standard 2.1mm centre negative power supply socket (top-mount).

Power

9vDC power supply or internally fitted PP3 battery. Current draw > 5mA.

Placement

Connect it first in the chain, directly to the guitar for optimum performance. Connecting it after a buffered effects unit may produce an overly bright sound.

Construction

All analogue, hand built in England UK.

Specification

-Length 119mm (4.69").

-Width 94mm (3.70").

-Height 30mm (1.18").

-Weight 0.31 kg (0.68 lbs).

Output

Buffered bypass.

Bigfoot Trouble Booster XL

£219.99

Our deluxe boost pedal (NOS Germanium).

Overview

The Bigfoot Trouble Booster XL is an incredibly flexible dual boost pedal with a plethora of modern and classic tones.

Sound

The pedal has 2 settings: the Bright mode is inspired by the vintage Greg Fryer and Dallas Rangemaster treble boosters, capturing the classic Vox AC30 Top Boost and Brian May (Queen) sounds. Features

Although we still use hand picked NOS germanium transistors, we use negative ground wiring so you can integrate the pedal into modern pedalboards. The pedal also features our studio-quality full-frequency 16dB boost on a separate footswitch, enabling you to stack the classic treble booster sound with a fatter tone.
